Southampton must win
|
We don't win this one I think we are gone. I was there on Saturday and up until Burnley scored we were the better side and could and SHOULD have been two up. The idiot running on threw everyone and there was no way back after that. However moving on I feel the next game is our survival on the line and is a must win. I can understand the emotion but for fuck sake get behind the team and let them ensure survival. I have been going since the late 60s and relegation is the last thing I want. Get behind the team and sort out the mess afterwards.

Is Masuaku back for us this game?
We have missed him massively. Not sure what that says about our squad but he really does add some much needed offence in the final 3rd for us.

I think there will need to be three sides worse than us, mate.

Our side isn't good enough both on the pitch and in the mind. If we win, we may stay up because there are two other teams that are worse than us. If we don't, then we will desrve to go down and it wouldn't bother me if we did.

I don't believe the board are worried about the compo for Moyes. They won't sack him out of pure stubbornness and for fear of being proved wrong by all the fans that were negative to this appointment.

There will be barely any compo if Moyes went before the end of the season would there? Contract ends then anyway , and he's said him and his team are working for little money.

Why do you cunts still insist on rolling this nonsense out? I kept reading on here he would't sack Bilic for the very same reason?

I agree Russ Sullivan is to tight to sack Moyes and have to pay a couple of months wages He’s to stubborn to think he has made a mistake and thinks he’s a football genius

It's terrible timing for us but not for them. That's why they did it. Their owners have realised the importance of the game on 31st and given themselves the best chance of winning. It's called brave and progressive thinking.
Now don't think for one minute I am admiring their owners for the sake of it. Far from it. They had a club philosophy which was to nurture and develop young players to sell at huge profit and buy players to keep them in the PL. It worked very well for a long time. Ajax did and still do it to great effect.
But they got greedy and sold too many and that greed has come home to roost. That system requires very good player recruitment as you need to buy good players for as cheap as possible to continue maximising profit.
But that maximising has cost them. Bad management and below par player recruitment sees them where they are. They have reaped what they have sown and deserve to be there.
But look at how they have reacted? They will appoint by the weekend and give there players a week with the new manager. They will probably turn up at ours buzzing and raring to go and all players with a point to prove.
Whilst we turn up on 31st still in a tail-spin heading towards the championship. Our owners are too stubborn to sack Moyes and be proved wrong by all of the fans. They will just sit on their hands. We should sack Moyes now and get Silva before Soton do.
But they won't as brave and progressive thinking is beyond them. And Moyes is proof of that. He is an extension of them. Dour and boring.
When Soton turn up on 31st with Silva in charge you better prepare yourself for a tonking and life in the Championship.

Appoint Bilic - they win and the. Allardyce relegates is last day of the season.
That would be some painful irony

I said if we got nothing from Burnley we’d be gone. We simply cannot win our “must win” games and Southampton will be no different.

My hopes for this fixture are that we play a STRIKER to give us a chance of scoring GOALS.
I'd also rather like to see our right winger/forward playing in one of those positions rather than left fucking back.
